Over at Home Depot, presumably as part of their PRO Black Friday 2017 sales event, there’s a new deal on Empire levels.
They’re saying that you buy the 48″ level, and you get the 24″ level for FREE. That’s not quite true. Well, it is, but there’s more.
You’re getting the 48″ level and the 24″ level, AND a $5 discount off the regular price of the 48″ level (e55.48), at least going by Home Depot’s pricing.
It’s rare that this happens, but Home Depot is underselling deal.
I was going to post about this yesterday, but the only price was $25 and I wanted to visit at least one other Home Depot location to verify the $20 deal price. But after checking just now, I’m happy to see that the level bundle is now the same price online.
These are pretty basic levels, but even so, they’re better than the 4-foot Empire level I bought a few years back. That one has held up well, although I don’t use it all that often anymore.
Still, I’m very tempted to order this set. They’re good levels at great prices.
I also saw this morning that Tim mentioned the deal in our PRO Black Friday deal post:
My HD had a few more fresh-today deals, one was an empire level bundle of 2’ and 4’ I-beam levels for the price of the 4’ only, $20. I beat up 4 foot levels as circular saw guides, and needed a throw in the car 2’ anyway, so for me this was a good deal.
Hmm, I hadn’t considered that – using these levels as tool guides. I have a couple of clamp-on guides, and tracks for my Festool tools, but this does look like a very good way to ensure straight cuts and grooves when it matters.
I think I’m going to have to order a set.
Price: $20

I don’t remember if these are made in the USA or not. If they’re not fully made in the USA, then I’m fairly certain that at least the vials are.
Who else is thinking of buying or ordering these levels?
