Home Depot (as part of our paid partnership) sent over a selection of new Husky LED lighting products for review consideration.
From left to right, there’s a new: 200 lumen multi-use LED clip light (Clip Light), 300 lumen dual-beam unbreakable headlamp (Headlamp), and a 200 lumen multi-use LED utility light (Utility Light).

The Clip Light is slim, and shaped like an over-sized smartphone. There’s a fold-out kickstand, and also magnets that allow you to stick it to a tool cabinet or other ferrous surface, either for storage or use. There are two brightness settings. Its kickstand also has a hole, for use with hooks or cord. The flashlight is light enough, and the kickstand pivot sturdy enough, that you can aim the light in different directions, whether placed on a horizontal surface or hung down using a string or hook of some kind.
There is one thing I would caution you about, and that’s to make sure to turn the light away from your face when pressing the power button. Hopefully I won’t make that mistake a third time.
Lastly, it looks big, but it’s comfortable to hold in-hand. I’d say that I wish there was a built-in loop to add a lanyard string to, but there are lots of ways that can be done.

The Headlamp is a one-style-fits-all type of product. When you turn it on for the first time, flood light and spotlight emitters all turn on. Press the button again, and it switches to the spotlight-only mode. One more press turns on only the flood light emitters. Another press turns the headlamp off. There’s a second button, and it turns on flashing red light emitters.
The headlight component pivots, so you can aim the light where you need it, and the battery box – worn at the back of the head – has a rear-facing reflector panel.
Although the power-on buttons are side by side (for white light and flashing red light illumination), they’re textured. The white light power button is smooth and protruding, the red light button is lower and has 2 bumps.
This isn’t something I would buy for personal use, but I think it could be a good one-size-fits-all headlamp for less picky individuals. I prefer headlamps that are one-piece (rather than with separate battery boxes), but I must admit that this one feels more balanced on my head. I also wish that there was a constant-on red light mode, so I could use it on the rare occasion I go out to find my home planet among the stars in the night sky.
I find that the spot light and flood light modes do work well.
Ordinarily, I would pass something like this along right away, but I do like the quality of light, and there are specifics about the design that I think can make it highly adaptable as a tool light.
Before looking at the price, I would have guessed this to be priced at $20, maybe a little higher. The product page and packaging also reminder of Husky’s lifetime warranty. If your Husky product ever fails, bring it back and we will replace it Free.”

The Utility Light is my favorite of the new trio of Husky LED lighting products. It has a magnetic back, hanging hook, and convenient puck shape. The packaging says “dry location use only,” but it looks like it can handle some light weather conditions if absolutely needed. It has low and high brightness output modes.
The threads require some care when screwing the back on.
This one’s going right on my tool box.

All of the Husky LED lights come with Energizer batteries.
Overall, they feel solid and sturdy, as they should, with drop ratings ranging from 3 meters (utility and clip light) to 9 meters (headlamp).
These new Husky LED lights are inexpensive, and that would make me hesitant, but they don’t feel cheap in-hand. I spotted a gasket seal on the clip light where I would one, quality materials where needed, and I really like that they come with brand-name batteries.
A Husky LED flashlight lives in my basement, and I use it fairly regularly. So far, it’s handled moisture, drops, and plenty of use, with no signs of any quality of performance issues.
They’re really bright, too.
I tend to have pricier tastes when it comes to LED flashlights and personal lighting, but I continue to be impressed by Husky. In talking with them in the past, I also know they’re quite prideful about their lighting products.
These new LED lighting products are not quite perfect for my needs and preferences, but they seem to be great for what they are. The clip light looks to be a convenient work light that doesn’t take up a lot of space in a tool bag or box, the headlamp is a versatile does-it-all kind of product, and the puck-shaped utility light just seems to be compact, versatile, and convenient.
In other words, while I probably wouldn’t buy these for my own use (maybe the round utility light), there are plenty of reasons to recommend them, and not many not to. If you like the lighting style, you can give them a try risk-free, due to Home Depot’s great return policy. And should they ever fail you (I have never had any Husky light malfunction yet, knock on wood), Husky and Home Depot will replace it for free.
