Kershaw Link Aluminum Handle Black Blade EDC Folding Knife

Earlier this month, the Kershaw Dividend folding knife was on sale at Walmart for $29. At the time, there was a Link, with olive green handle and black-finish blade, for $32. Now, that knife is a little bit cheaper, priced at $29.

The next-least expensive model I can find at the moment is a gray and blackwashed version at Amazon, for $37.29. A blue-handled Link is $46. There are some less expensive models – still not less than $30 though – but those also have plastic handles. Personally, I like the aluminum-handled version (like this one) better.

The Kershaw Link is a nice knife, featuring a 3.25″ blade. I tend to prefer 3 inch-bladed knives for “EDC,” but 3.25″ to 3.6″ knives suit me better around the shop or outdoors. I wear medium-sized gloves. If you have larger hands, you might favor a knife this size over the Dividend that I posted about last time.

It has a SpeedSafe assisted-opening mechanism, which is convenient for quick and easy opening. (For urban carry, I tend to prefer smaller knives with “softer” aesthetics, and manual opening mechanisms.)

At $29, this is a very good deal.

There’s no indication as to when this pricing will end.

As always, be sure to learn and understand your local knife laws before EDCing a pocket knife.
