We’ve received a couple of requests for Black Friday 2015 cordless drill deal alerts and recommendations.
Generally, most users would be better served with an 18V-class drill. I am a fan of 12V-class tools, but tend to use my 18V tools more often. The same seems to be true for most types of users, from professionals, to hobbyists and homeowners.
There are plenty of 12V drill deals to be had, but for Black Friday and the 2015 holiday season, retailers focus more on 18V-class tools, and so will we here.
It’s worth pointing out that, for the same money, a better 12V-class drill kit might be a better choice than a lesser 18V model. You will also sometimes see 12V drills with more power and features than entry-level 18V drills.
If you’re more interested in 12V-class drills, or higher end 18V-class models, be sure to take a look at what you can get with this year’s Bosch $25 off $100 discount, Dewalt $25 off $100 savings, and Hitachi $25 off $100 deals.

That said, here are our 4 top picks:
Milwaukee M18 2606
As mentioned in our Home Depot Black Friday 2015 tool deals post, and previous deal post, Milwuakee’s M18 2606-21CT kit is back again, and for $99.
You get Milwaukee’s regular M18 2606 drill/driver, a single battery, a multi-voltage charger, and a carrying case.
While we often prefer 2 batteries at a minimum, this is quite possibly the best cordless drill bargain of the holiday season.

Bosch 18V DDB181
![Bosch 18V DDB181 Drill Driver]()
We have talked about the Bosch DDB181 18V compact drill many times now.
We gave it best budget 18V honors in our Best Cordless Drills guide, and is discussed as being our favorite cordless drill for under $100.
It’s smaller than Bosch’s other 18V drills, and for $99 you get the drill and 2 Li-ion battery packs, not just 1.
It’s a tough choice, between the Milwaukee 2606 and Bosch DDB181. One is a more powerful base model that comes with 1 battery, they other is a more compact and less powerful entry-level model that comes with 2 batteries.

Dewalt 20V Max DCD771
And then there’s the Dewalt DCD771 20V Max drill/driver kit.
It first appeared 2 years ago, as a Black Friday and Holiday deal, and has popped up in strength every Father’s Day and Holiday shopping season since then.
Dewalt’s partnerships with retail stores means that you can find the DCD771 pretty much everywhere for $99 during the holiday season.
There’s no denying that this might be a great gift item, as Dewalt might have better brand recognition with recipients, but if you’re buying for yourself, the Bosch and Milwaukee deals might be better buys.
Compared to their regular drills, this one is larger, less powerful, and bundled with smaller batteries and a slower charger.

If you’re looking to spend less than $100, the question to ask yourself is: Do I just want a cordless drill kit, or to buy into a power tool product family?
If you just want a cordless drill, there are plenty of options, from Porter Cable, Skil, Worx, and many other brands. If you want to buy into a product family, Ryobi’s One+ lineup and Craftsman’s C3 lineup are worthy 18V-class cordless tool lines.
You can see some of this year’s Craftsman C3 19.2V cordless drill kit deals in our Sears Black Friday 2015 deal post.
