Over at Home Depot, they have what I’m considering a “mega” Dewalt deal of the day, featuring Dewalt cordless power tools, accessories, air compressors, workwear, and a couple of other bundles of different product categories.
There are some good deals to be had, but as always, you should do some pricing research just to be sure.
The battery bundles seem to be good deals. A 2-pack of FlexVolt 6Ah batteries is priced at ~$179 via Amazon and other dealers. Barring any discounts or promos on the 2-pack, a 4-pack at $299 saves you $59.
Dewalt’s 20V Max hammer drill and impact driver combo kit, the one that’s bundled with a FlexVolt battery and a compact battery, is currently priced at $279 via Amazon (direct). With today’s Home Depot deal of the day, they’re selling the same cordless power tool combo at $279, but you also get bonus FlexVolt battery for free.
The 20V Max 2x battery and charger starter kit plus the circular saw or reciprocating saw bundles are – forgive my language – crappy deals. They *are* better priced that last week’s “Pro Tool Deals of the Week,” but still crappy overall.
- Dewalt 2x 5Ah battery and charger starter kit: $149 via Amazon (direct)
- Dewalt 20V Max 6-1/2″ circular saw: $99 via Amazon (direct)
- Dewalt 20V Max reciprocating saw: $70 via Amazon (direct)
When you can get the same tools for less money, that’s a marker of a lousy deal. C’mon Home Depot, you can do better.

The compact 3Ah battery 4-pack seems to be a good deal, but I’d personally opt for the 4Ah deal, above, for $279. You spend $30 more, which is ~12% more money for ~33% higher charge capacity.
Or if you look at it from the other angle, this Dewalt 3Ah cordless power tool battery bundle is ~10.8% less expensive but for 25% lower charge capacity. Unless you really can’t budget for the 4Ah battery 4-pack, with those batteries being the same size as these compact 3Ah batteries, the 4Ah bundle is a better deal.

Some of these deals are odd. The Dewalt Atomic cordless drill is being bundled with a 4.0Ah battery, but no charger. The kit, with 2x 1.3Ah (or 1.5Ah?) batteries is typically $99 during seasonal holiday shopping seasons. Two years ago, Dewalt had a brushless hammer drill kit for $99, and it came with a compact 3Ah battery. This $119 Atomic drill bundle is a little odd in that they’re pairing an entry-spec’ed drill with a premium battery. It’s not compelling enough, in my opinion. Swap the battery for a 3Ah and drop the price to $99, and that would be a better impulse-buy deal.
The miter saw and free bonus stand deals, as well as the FlexVolt cordless table saw and mobile stand deal, are really good, and if I were to bet I’d say they might sell out quickly. The miter saws aren’t Dewalt’s flagship models, but they’re popular and capable, and if you’re in the market for a new saw, it’s hard to say no to a free stand.

The Dewalt Atomic deals are interesting. When I bought my reciprocating saw, it was $149. At the time, all of the other Atomic tools were being bundled with free batteries at Home Depot, but not that one. Would I spend $20 more for a compact 4.0Ah battery? Most likely.
