One of the most annoying things about modern-day online shopping is that I’ll often get “you forgot this in your cart” and “are you still interested in this?” types of remarketing emails. Today I received an email from Acme Tools, but one that I was actually pleased to see.
The email says:
Did you notice the price on this dropped?
Would you look at that! The price of this item you were looking at just dropped. Come get it for your toolbox and save some cash in the process!
I took a look, and Acme Tools has dropped the price of Dewalt’s DCD701F2 Xtreme drill/driver kit from $99 to $79.
This kit was eligible for 10% savings recently, dropping the price to $89. $79 is even better!
- 3/8″ ratcheting chuck
- 0-425/0-1500 RPM
- 250 UWO max power
- 15 clutch settings
- LED worklight
- 5.97″ length
- Weighs 1.9 lbs
I’ve had samples of this and other new Dewalt Xtreme 12V Max cordless power tools for some time, and have really grown to like them.
Yesterday, my daughter got a small toy figure stuck inside a pop-up animal toy, and I was tasked with disassembling the toy to fix things. Taking the toy apart required me to remove 13 screws. I normally use manual screwdrivers on kids’ toys, but I had a Dewalt Xtreme cordless screwdriver already in my office, and it made short work of things and without stripping out the small screws.
If you have been curious about trying Dewalt’s newest 12V Max brushless drill, this might be a good opportunity.
If you ask me, $20 savings off a $99 drill kit is a huge price drop. I don’t think we could reasonably expect it to dip any lower.

Unfortunately, Acme Tools recently returned their free shipping limit to $199, but shipping is only a flat $6.49 on smaller orders. Thus, you’ll still save money compared to the next-best deal we recently posted about.
Personally, I would look over my wishlist or shopping list to see if there are any other small tools or accessories to add to my order to make the most of the shipping fee. Do you need any screwdriver bits or reciprocating saw blades? If I have to pay shipping fees, I look over a list of hand tools and accessories that I could use but don’t want to pay separate small-order shipping fees on.
If you have to pay shipping anyway, this might be a good opportunity to try Milwaukee’s RedLithium USB flashlights or worklights, which are currently eligible for a free USB charger kit rebate.
