Wow, it has been a whopping 22 months since I’ve updated the 4 tool recommendations in our bottom-of-the-page Amazon affiliate shopping widget. It’s time to change that up.
Maybe I should switch that Amazon shopping ad widget over to a more automated approach, but I don’t think I could bring myself to do that. Maybe I should decommission it entirely?
Anyway, I wanted to freshen up the recommendations, and will be talking about the new selection here.
I will also be adding them to our Amazon Influencer Page.

Bosch 12V Max Cordless Screwdriver and Impact Driver Kit
Bosch’s 12V Max cordless screwdriver and impact driver kit, CLPK27-120, is currently on sale for $99.
I initially wanted to post about their $69 cordless screwdriver deal (again), but since it’s backordered on Amazon I felt this might be more interesting to talk about. Besides, you can go check out my Bosch deal post from earlier this month to read about the screwdriver kit.
Most “drill and driver” cordless power tool combo kits feature a drill and an impact driver. This kit gives you a screwdriver and an impact driver.
Isn’t that redundant? Maybe a little. But, some users – myself included – prefer to use a cordless screwdriver for greater repeatability and control with smaller fasteners, and an impact driver for higher torque needs. This kit gives you both. Besides, you probably already have a cordless drill, right?

Mallory Snow Brush
Winter is coming. You’re going to need a good snow brush.
The last time I bought this, I actually bought two, and at $14 each. That was 6 years ago. At the time of this posting. they’re priced a little lower, at $12.32 each.
I said that my latest order was 6 years ago – before that, I purchase the same snow brush in 2010 and again in 2012. I believe I gave one or two away.
My brushes are still intact, and I still use them every winter.
I looked it up again recently, as the bristles on one of my brushes are wearing a little bit. The foam handle cover is a little worn too, and torn in one place, but it’s holding up quite well for its age. Maybe I’ll replace it next year.
This is the most durable snow brush I have ever used. Every year I try to convince myself to buy a larger brush again, for reaching over my car, but eh – I like the simplicity of this one. There are no moving parts, it’s very strong, and even though I have to reach a little bit to sweep snow off the roof of my SUV, it’s still very comfortable and efficient to use.
If you’ve been meaning to buy a new snow brush, consider this one.
Tekton Multi-Bit Screwdriver
I’ve been getting in some more time with my new Tekton multi-bit screwdriver. So far, I like it, especially Tekton’s glass-reinforced nylon handle. It’s not perfect for all usage scenarios, but it offers a good “one size fits most tasks” kind of grip.
Also interesting is that the handle is made in the USA, and the receiver and bits in Taiwan.
100%, I would buy it again.

Otis Cleaning Brushes
I wrote about Otis cleaning brushes before – here, and recently ordered a fresh pack for myself.
The white nylon brushes are the softest they make (but still quite stiff), followed by blue nylon and then brass.
Sure, you could try to source an old toothbrushes for cleaning misc. parts, but how many of those do you have around?
With this bundle, you get (10) white brushes and (1) bonus blue brush for $8.
