ToolGuyd Princess

Hello ToolGuyd readers, friends, visitors, and people that stop by only to steal our content. I am happy to introduce you all to our new baby girl!

Just like her brother, the ToolGuyd Princess was born weighing 6 lbs 1 oz, and measuring 19″ long.

Mom and baby are both doing well.

Our princess came into the world a little earlier than expected, but that’s okay. It’s just a reminder that plans are best kept flexible. We’re pretty set on the name, but I don’t want to share it until after we fill out the birth certificate form.

Jr’s doing well too. The nurses watched him so that I could be there for the birth, and then brought him back as I escorted our princess to recovery before my wife could join us. He joined us, and I held him a few feet away, as the nurse thought it would be a good idea for mom and baby to be reunited before making the intro.

So I’m holding my almost 2-year-old son for a minute or two, he looks over at his new sister, puckered his lips a little, thought about it, and then blew her a kiss with his hand from a few feet away.

Speaking of the awesome little guy, here he is with his Ikea workbench that I finally put together. He tried to help, too! The workbench was on clearance recently, the tool set is widely available. I tried to get him to turn around for the photo, but toddlers aren’t known for their cooperation.

I learned something today: I forgot how to change newborn diapers.

This is all so crazy. Oh, and definitely amazing of course. Wow, just wow.

What this means for you:

I will continue to read each and every email and comment, but might be slow in checking my inbox these next few days. Please forgive me if I am unable to get back to you promptly. I will try to get back to everyone eventually, but so many emails come in on a daily basis (and I love ’em, please keep ’em coming!), that I simply can no longer respond to each and every one.

I had already started prepping reviews, new tool previews, and topic ideas, and so you shouldn’t see any big interruption in content.

We have been working hard to ensure there’s no interruption. But if you feel like you wanted one more post in any given day, check out the ToolGuyd Tool Forum and join a discussion, ask a question, or post about anything tool related.

So… business here on ToolGuyd will continue as usual.

But at home, whoa… this is going to be an interesting time of our lives.
