Over at Amazon, they’re running a discount promo on 4 select Tekton tools, today only, 9/20/16.
While there’s nothing very exciting about any of these tools, they seem to be well-regarded, and if there’s something you’ve been meaning to buy, this promo will save you a few bucks.
I have a somewhat cautiously positive impression of Tekton tools. They’ve released some USA-made tools in recent years, and while some of their older tools were of mixed quality, their current tools are generally quite decent.
In other words, I view Tekton tools as affordable tools that don’t suck, great for building up a tool collection, filling in gaps and missing functionality, and for certain tools you’re not sure you’ll get a lot of use out of.

This Everybit Tech Rescue tool set is an electronics repair tool and screwdriver bit set that comes with a variety of spudgers and smartphone and laptop-specific bits.
It’s designed for tackling your basic smartphone repairs and laptop upgrades, and has enough general purpose functionality to be useful with other kinds of products or devices.
Tekton threw in some tweezers, for picking up teeny tiny fasteners and the like.
I’d pass on this, unless I knew I needed those triangle and pentalobe bits.

This is a larger electronics tool set, with more screwdriver bits and a ratcheting bit holding screwdriver.
This set has all kinds of unusual security bit set, and so in addition to a general purpose screwdriver bit set, it can be treated as a “what the heck kind of fastener is that, and do I have something that fits it?” bit set.
I’m on the fence about this one. I’ve gotten by so far without a security bit set, although I did have to buy some tamper-resistant Torx drivers a while back.

Tekton make some very nice air hoses, and this looks to be a very nice hose reel. It comes with a 50′ 3/8″ hose, capable of handling up to 250 PSI.
It can be mounted to the ceiling, floor, or wall, or even to a sturdy workbench.
It’s made in the USA.
The product page has a big bold California Prop 65 lead warning, suggesting it has PVC jacketing.

This is a 30-piece inch and metric hex key set.
They look like ordinary nothing-special hex keys, but the case caught my eye. Thanks to the case, this might be a good emergency or loanable hex key set. It’s got just about any size you might need, and keeps everything neatly organized in one place.
It might be worth it for that one time you need a size that’s not included in your super-premium hex key set.
