Our Dewalt FlexVolt tool kit giveaway blew past our expectations, topping out at over 1,000 entries!

We already ran 2 bonus giveaways, and it’s time for one more. In today’s giveaway, the prize will be a brand new Dewalt Li-ion battery or 2-pack of batteries!

Prize Options

Your choice of:

You have your choice of 2-pack of the smaller highest capacity battery packs (5.0Ah), a 2-pack of the brand new and slightly larger 6.0Ah battery packs, or a 2-pack of the FlexVolt 6.0Ah battery packs, or a single FlexVolt 9.0Ah battery pack, which like the 20V Max 6.0Ah pack will be slightly larger.

In Simpler Terms:

  • 1x FlexVolt 9.0Ah pack
  • 2x FlexVolt 6.0Ah packs
  • 2x 20V Max 5.0Ah packs
  • 2x 20V Max 6.0Ah packs

(The FlexVolt battery packs or 20V Max 6.0Ah packs might not be immediately available.)

You get to choose (1) prize from the list.

The 20V Max tools will work in any Dewalt 20V Max tool (are there exceptions I don’t know about?), and the FlexVolt battery packs will work in almost any Dewalt 20V Max tool, any FlexVolt 60V Max tool, and any 120V Max tool (paired with another FlexVolt battery pack).

Why? I can’t wait to get my hands on these new battery packs – the 20V Max 6.0Ah pack and FlexVolt 9.0Ah pack – and figure many of you have share the feelings. This seemed like a good bonus giveaway to follow up the FlexVolt giveaway (I’m still working on winner selection).

But the winner might instead want 2 of the slightly smaller 5.0Ah battery packs. Or 2 FlexVolt battery packs instead of a single 9.0Ah. So that’s why there are those options too.

Dewalt DCB206 20V Max 6Ah Battery Pack

The new 6.0Ah and 9.0Ah battery packs have cells of a slightly larger form factor than those in Dewalt’s lower capacity battery packs, making the packs themselves slightly larger.

The FlexVolt 9.0Ah battery pack has a charge capacity of 9.0Ah when used in 20V Max mode, or 3.0Ah when used in 60V Max or 120V Max mode.

Which to Choose?: The 5.0Ah pack is slightly smaller, and presumably lighter. The 6.0Ah is the highest capacity 20V Max battery pack outside of the FlexVolt lineup. The FlexVolt 6.0Ah packs give you high 20V Max capacity but in a larger battery size, and more economical battery power in 60V Max and 120V Max tools if you get the 2-pack. The FlexVolt 9.0Ah battery pack is Dewalt’s most powerful and highest capacity battery pack!

Prize Fulfillment: ToolGuyd will be buying the battery or batteries and will send them to you directly from where we order from. Right now, that means Amazon, Acme Tool, or Lowes, depending on availability.

In case you want to learn more about Dewalt FlexVolt, here’s the banner link to the Dewalt microsite. The ad ended last week, but I figured an image would look nicer at the end of the post than just a text link. And here’s our Dewalt FlexVolt coverage:
